Join VMD Corp, part of Xcelerate Solutions and a leader in providing passenger and checked baggage screening services at various airports across the United States.
What you will do:
Grow in a fulfilling career as a Transportation Security Officer at the San Francisco International Airport (SFO) working alongside a team of aviation security professionals. You will use your outstanding customer service and critical-thinking skills while ensuring passenger safety by identifying and preventing unsafe objects from entering onto aircraft.
Responsibilities specific to this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Passenger and Baggage Screening
  • Operating various screening equipment.
  • Communicating and interacting with travelers

What you will need:

  • Be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
  • Be proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking, and listening)
  • Must possess customer service skills
  • Pass a computerized assessment (grammar and ability to interpret X-rays)
  • Pass a medical evaluation (vision, hearing, and joint mobility exam)
  • Pass pre-employment drug test
  • Pass a TSA background and financial records check
  • Ability to work any day, Monday – Sunday, and any shift between 12:00 AM and 11:59 PM
  • Minimum Clearance to Start: Public Trust

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Constant standing, lifting, twisting, and bending

Competitive Compensation and on the Job Training
  • Anticipated starting pay for this position is $25.56 and is determined based on certifications, years of service, and in accordance with the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and/or Department of Labor Service Contract Act (SCA) wage determination.
  • No prior experience is necessary.
  • Receive on-the-job training to become a certified officer.
