AlliedTravelCareers is working with Jackson Therapy Partners to find a qualified Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) in Abilene, Texas, 79603!

We are hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a travel contract role at a skilled nursing facility in Abilene, TX. Under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will assist patients in regaining skills for everyday life through therapeutic activities, ADL training, adaptive equipment instruction, and documentation. Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college.
• Active TX license or a Compact license valid for practice in Texas is required to start the assignment.
• Minimum 2 years of OTA experience in a long term care or skilled nursing setting is required.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• DOR (Department of Rehabilitation) experience is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with treatment implementation, ADL training, and adaptive equipment education in LTC settings.
• Prior experience documenting patient progress and collaborating with supervising OTs.

Assignment Details

• 8 hour days - 40 hours guaranteed.
• Weekend requirement: None.
