OVERVIEWThe Implementation Specialist provides technical assistance and implementation support for a large, multi‑state behavioral health data collection and reporting program. This role works directly with state substance use and mental health agencies to support data-related activities, assist with system and process adoption, and help identify and resolve routine implementation issues. Implementation Specialists are assigned by region, with one position supporting each U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Region. Positions will be filled in Boston, MA; New York, NY; Philadelphia, PA; Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; Kansas City, MO; Denver, CO; San Francisco, CA; and Seattle, WA.DUTIESOrganize and provide technical assistance to state substance use and mental health agencies related to behavioral health data collections, reporting processes, and related systemsDesign and implement intensive training and technical assistance plans, including plans for site visitsConduct needs assessments and develops individualized and large group technical assistance plans based on the outcome of the assessmentSupport implementation activities across the assigned region, including coordination with state contacts and internal project staffRespond to routine questions from state partners regarding data submission processes, schedules, and required proceduresAssist states with understanding and following standardized data collection and reporting guidelinesTrack milestones, implementation status, issues, and follow-up actions within assigned regionParticipate in regular project calls, training, and internal coordination meetingsPrepare and contribute to quarterly summaries and status updatesMaintain clear documentation of technical assistance activities and implementation support providedFollow established project procedures related to data confidentiality, quality assurance, and system usePerform other implementation and support duties as assigned by project leadershipMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMaster's degree in public health, social sciences, health administration, or a related fieldAt least five years of experience supporting or implementing healthcare, behavioral health, public health, or human services projectsKnowledge of implementation science and experience designing engaging presentations and training materials for varied audiencesExperience providing technical assistance, coordination, or implementation support to external partners, such as state agencies, Federal or State Government grantees, or service organizationsExperience conducting site visits to gather information and provide training and technical assistanceExperience using technical assistance tracking toolsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a structured project environmentComfort working with standard office and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, email, virtual meeting platforms)Ability to travel locally and within region, as neededPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience working with Federal Government grantees, state-level behavioral health, healthcare, or public health programsFamiliarity with multi-state or national data collection or reporting initiativesStrong presentation and public speaking skillsSalary Range: $70,000 to $95,000 per year depending on experience and geographic locationFor a complete listing of benefits, please visit our careers page at Hendall Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
