HR Data Analyst

Phoenix, Arizona, United States

$ 35.00 - 40.00 (US Dollar)

Position Overview: CiviTronix, an industry-leading engineering firm, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing human resources data to support strategic decision-making and optimize HR operations. You will work closely with HR leadership and cross-functional teams to analyze trends, develop reports, and identify insights that will contribute to the success of our growing organization.

Note: Strictly for candidates with the United States only.

As a key player in a firm renowned for its work in civil and site engineering, stormwater management, highway design, environmental solutions, and water and wastewater services, you will provide data-driven solutions that help enhance our human resources processes, improve employee experiences, and drive organizational efficiency. This position requires a blend of technical proficiency, business acumen, and an understanding of the HR landscape in an engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Collection and Management:
    • Collect, clean, and organize data from various HR systems and other business tools used across the firm (e.g., HRIS, payroll systems, performance management systems).
    • Maintain HR databases, ensuring data integrity and accuracy at all times.
    • Develop processes and methodologies to streamline data collection and improve HR data workflows.
  2. Data Analysis & Reporting:
    • Analyze HR data to identify key trends in areas such as employee turnover, recruitment, retention, compensation, diversity, and workforce performance.
    • Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for HR leadership and senior management, translating data into actionable insights for decision-making.
    • Use advanced Excel, Power BI, or other data analysis tools to create comprehensive dashboards and visualizations to support HR objectives.
  3. Workforce Planning and Forecasting:
    • Assist in workforce planning by providing data-driven insights that inform staffing needs, talent acquisition strategies, and succession planning.
    • Collaborate with HR leadership to model future workforce trends based on current data, enabling the firm to be proactive in addressing talent shortages or skill gaps.
  4. Compensation and Benefits Analysis:
    • Provide data analysis to support compensation reviews, ensuring competitive salary structures and alignment with industry standards.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of employee benefits programs, analyzing trends in utilization and employee satisfaction.
  5. Employee Engagement and Performance Analytics:
    • Work with HR teams to assess employee engagement through surveys and performance data.
    • Analyze performance reviews, feedback, and other employee data to identify strengths and areas for improvement, helping to shape HR strategies around employee development and satisfaction.
    • Support the creation of data-driven solutions for enhancing employee morale, reducing turnover, and fostering a positive company culture.
  6. Regulatory Compliance and Reporting:
    • Assist with HR compliance reporting, ensuring that the organization meets all regulatory requirements related to HR practices and labor laws.
    • Provide data support for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, helping track and report progress on related goals.
  7. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
    • Partner with HR, Finance, and other departmental leaders to provide insights on talent management, resource allocation, and workforce optimization.
    • Work closely with engineering and project management teams to understand workforce needs and align HR strategies with organizational goals.
  8. Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest HR technologies, data analytics methodologies, and best practices to continuously enhance the quality and accuracy of HR data.
    • Proactively identify opportunities to improve HR data systems and processes, leveraging new tools and technologies where possible.
  9. Ad-hoc Projects:
    • Participate in or lead special HR projects as needed, including mergers and acquisitions, organizational restructures, or new technology implementations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related field. Advanced certifications in data analysis or HR-related fields (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, or HRIP) are a plus.
  • Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience as an HR Data Analyst, HRIS Analyst, or in a similar analytical role, preferably in a fast-paced engineering or technical environment.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel (advanced level), Power BI, and other data visualization platforms.
    • Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, SAP) and talent management tools.
    • Experience with statistical software and methodologies is a plus.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn complex data into meaningful insights.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of data analysis and reporting.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of Engineering Sector: Understanding of the engineering or construction industry is highly preferred, as it helps contextualize workforce trends, staffing needs, and other HR metrics relevant to CiviTronixs operations.

Key Competencies:

  • Problem-Solving: Ability to approach complex problems methodically and find data-driven solutions.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.
