Louisiana-Pacific Corporation (LP Building Solutions) is a leading provider of high-performance building solutions that meet the demands of builders, remodelers, and homeowners worldwide.We manufacture engineered wood building products that include an extensive offering of innovative and dependable building materials and accessories.LP's values-driven culture creates an environment where talented and hardworking people thrive in an ethical, inclusive, challenging, and rewarding place to work.Since our founding in 1972, we've developed careers and provided advancement opportunities in the building products industry.Headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, LP operates more than 20 facilities across North and South America.For more information, visit LPCorp.com.Job Purpose To assist in the operation of the T&G line in an OSB manufacturing facility In this position you will have the opportunity to:Complete packaging units processed through T&G equipment Complete re-grade work on product Clean T&G paint booth Complete Quality checks every hour Assist the T&G Operator with 20 panel.Maintain and clean paint booth guns and tree arm Keep the T&G blown out and swept up.Keep the catwalk at the strapper cleaned.Maintain the printer machines and keep them cleaned Write all unit tags produced and turn in to supervisor Manage the unused tags Help the T&G operator and forklift operator if needed directed by supervisor or lead man Perform other duties as necessary.Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations What do I need to be successful? Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Time management skills.Knowledge of line position duties and functions.Knowledge of general plant clean-up and utility functions.Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations.Education:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Experience:No experience required.Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.Work Environment Plant environment with exposure to sawdust, chemicals, extreme temperatures (hot and cold) and other inclement conditions.LP offers competitive salaries and comprehensive benefits and programs including health and welfare benefits, 401(k) program, career mobility, tuition reimbursement, volunteer opportunities, profit sharing and more..
