Job description

CNC Programmer / Machinist

A global manufacturing company is seeking a **CNC Programmer / Machinist **for their Saline location.

What you’ll be doing as a CNC Programmer / Machinist

  • Writing programs using AutoCAD, MasterCAM, and Fusion including drawing and running tooling path
  • Program, set up, operate, and maintain 5 axis mills to perform precision milling operations.
  • Program, set up, operate, and maintain a variety of machine tools to perform precision turning and milling machining operations.
  • Be able to operate and maintain band saws, surface grinders, and manual mills.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables, study sample parts or compute dimensions and tolerances, measure and lay out work pieces to determine machining operation to be performed, and plan & execute best sequence of operations.
  • Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy by verifying dimensions of machined parts or tooling using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, optical comparators, or other specialized measuring instruments.
  • Perform periodic preventive maintenance on equipment as outlined in the Preventive Maintenance Directive

What you’ll need to succeed as a CNC Programmer / Machinist

  • 3 years of experience writing programs, programming and operating 5 Axis Mills
  • Experience using AutoCAD required
  • Experience using MasterCAM and Fusion preferred

Additional information for the Trailer Hauler

  • $30 - $38 hourly
  • Monday-Friday, 2:00pm – 10:30pm (very flexible schedule)
  • Training on 1st shift
  • Saline, 48176
