Job Description
Provides oversight of logistics operations, including contracts, micro-purchasing, and inventory management, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with federal regulations.
Supervises staff by assigning work, setting priorities, evaluating performance, and ensuring effective workload distribution across logistics functions.
Analyzes program operations using qualitative and quantitative methods to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
Develops, implements, and interprets policies, procedures, and internal controls related to logistics, supply chain, and inventory management.
Serves as a senior advisor to leadership on logistics operations, contracting issues, and program performance, providing data-driven recommendations.
Oversees contracting and procurement activities, including coordination with contracting officers and review of statements of work, cost estimates, and acquisition strategies.
Manages inventory and supply chain operations, ensuring accountability of non-expendable property and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Leads program planning and execution, including resource allocation, budgeting support, and long-range operational strategy development.
Conducts program evaluations and performance monitoring to assess effectiveness, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to support logistics operations, resolve issues, and ensure mission success across multiple locations.
Work Schedule
Monday thru Friday - Tour of duty based on business needs.
Work Arrangements
This position is not authorized for Remote work.
This position may be authorized for Telework. Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.
This position may be authorized for Virtual Work. Virtual Work eligibility is for current VA employees that are already subject to the return to in person work mandate in their current position.
RTO mandates are in affect and selectees will be required to report to in person work unless they have an approved exemption already in place.
