Job description

Description :

  • Creates, and maintains RedHat Linux virtual machines running in a cloud infrastructure (Amazon AWS).
  • Evaluates systems for IAVA compliance and applies necessary security updates/patches.
  • Performs command line system administration tasks on virtual machines.
  • Handles regular system backups and periodically tests backups for functionality.• Communicates with developers and dev ops team members to provide system administration support.

    • Apply patches and upgrades.

  • Troubleshoot server issues. Administer customer accounts Deploy monitoring tools.
  • Deploy applications and tools.
  • Assist with escalated customer tickets.

Installation and cabling of equipment Required :

  • Active and current TS.SCI w FSP through MD Linux command line system administration (CentOS, RedHat, Amazon Linux, or equivalent) Experience applying system updates via yum or equivalent patching repository Experience working within a cloud environment a plus (Amazon AWS, Azure, or equivalent cloud infrastructure with virtual machines) Experience or knowledge of RedSeal Network Mapping tool a plus Knowledge of software deployed on systems a plus but not required (Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, Nifi) Education : Ten (10) years of experience as an SA Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
