The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe, and comfortable environment throughout the facility. This position plays a vital role in infection prevention, resident satisfaction, and the overall appearance of the community.
Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, offices, hallways, dining areas, and common areas
Dust, mop, sweep, vacuum, and polish assigned areas according to facility standards
Collect and dispose of trash and regulated waste in accordance with facility procedures
Restock linens, paper products, toiletries, and housekeeping supplies as needed
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of housekeeping closets, carts, and storage areas
Follow established infection prevention and control procedures
Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and according to manufacturer instructions
Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and supply needs to the appropriate department
Respond promptly and courteously to resident and staff requests
Work cooperatively with all departments to ensure a clean and welcoming environment
Attend required meetings and training sessions
Previous housekeeping, environmental services, hospitality, or healthcare experience preferred, but not required
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and infection control practices preferred
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday
Must be able to push and pull housekeeping carts and equipment
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Must be able to work in various environmental conditions within the facility
