Job description
Salary: $100,000 - 130,000 per year
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of consulting experience, managing multiple clients, ideally in the SMB sector.
- At least 5 years working in a senior engineer capacity.
- Over 5 years of proficient experience with various Microsoft technologies, including Office365, Exchange, Azure, Entra, Intune, etc.
- More than 5 years of advanced proficiency in virtualization technologies, preferably VMWare.
- 5+ years of expertise in network design and optimization, involving enterprise-grade switches, firewalls, and routers.
- Extensive experience with one or more cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS).
- Proven track record in BNCs core focus areas, such as security breach prevention, cloud migrations, and disaster recovery design.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Azure Admin Certifications, MCP, MCSE, CompTIA Sec+, A+, and Net+ are advantageous.
- Familiarity with platforms/software like MacOS, SQL, Google Workspace, RMM tools, and ConnectWise is a plus.
- Leadership capabilities to mentor and guide a team of system engineers.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities in resolving complex technical challenges.
- Adaptability to new technologies and shifting business requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage tasks and priorities effectively.
- Ability to operate independently while adhering to established guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Willingness to support occasional after-hours and weekend tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Manage projects by meticulously organizing timelines and deliverables while maintaining clear communication with clients.
- Consult with clients to pinpoint areas for improvement in their systems and infrastructure, including hardware and software upgrades.
- Act as the primary IT resource for clients in the Dallas/Ft. Worth region.
- Provide expert advice and foster a partnership-focused relationship with clients.
- Support servers, networks, desktops, and laptops, both on-site and remotely.
- Design, implement, and oversee new installations and system migrations.
- Efficiently resolve any system or network issues to maintain operational continuity.
- Continuously seek ways to enhance clients systems and infrastructure.
- Lead by example by mentoring junior team members and helping them develop their skills.
- Assist in onboarding new engineers to the BNC Texas team.
