Job Summary
The Electro-Mechanical Assembler is primarily responsible for fitting and assembling electromechanical equipment and machines.
Essential Duties

- Perform tasks to assemble mechanical or electronic components and subassemblies by reading work orders, following production drawings and sample assemblies, or receiving verbal instructions.
- Build and test a varied range of precision mechanical assemblies and/or electronic assemblies to a high level of quality and efficiency using crimpers, small hand tools, and soldering equipment.
- Perform housekeeping and cleanup duties upon completion of assigned tasks.
- Periodically perform job tasks while viewing work through a microscope.
- Provide advanced manufacturability inputs to reduce product cost and increase reliability.
- Complete other projects and tasks as assigned by the company.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education & Experience
- Five years of experience as an assembler of electro-mechanical assemblies.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- J-STD- Certification preferred.
- Knowledge of IPC soldering and crimping standards is a plus.
Other Qualifications
- Ability to occasionally work extended hours.
- Good dexterity and skill in the use of hand tools.
- Good visual perception and ability to distinguish between colors.
- Punctual and dependable attendance.
- Understands the company's basic philosophy and participates fully in conducting its mission.
- Ability to determine and/or follow methods and sequences of operation in performing assembly tasks such as wiring, component installation, and performing tasks while viewing through a microscope.
- Ability to perform electronic assembly using small hand tools and soldering irons.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and wire lists in English.

- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to read and follow instructions written in English.
