Job Description

The assembler is responsible for assembling, fits, and tests large, complex mechanical and inflatable survival systems used in marine and aviation environments.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components used in inflatable life rafts, evacuation slides, and marine safety systems.
• Perform mechanical assembly of metal frames, fittings, valves, fasteners, and fabric-based inflatable components.
• Read and interpret work instructions, drawings, and specifications to complete assemblies accurately.
• Use hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and assembly fixtures safely and correctly during all assembly tasks.
• Perform pressure testing, functional testing, and visual inspections in accordance with quality and safety requirements.
• Identify, document, and report defects, nonconformances, or assembly issues to production and quality teams in a timely manner.
• Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and manufacturing protocols throughout the production process.
• Support rework, repairs, and product modifications as required to meet product and customer specifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper handling and storage of tools and materials.

Essential Skills

• Strong hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools in a production, mechanic, builder, or industrial setting.

Work Environment

Monday through Friday from 6:00 . to 3:00 ., with regular overtime opportunities on Saturdays for approximately 5–6 hours as needed. The work takes place in a manufacturing environment focused on assembling, will be wearing ppe.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Valley Center, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $29.00/hr.
