Responsibilities

  1. Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with planning and developing construction schedules
  2. Work with Project Executives to prepare proposal and preconstruction schedules
  3. Use historical production data to develop activity durations and validate construction progress
  4. Monitor and analyze progress on detailed construction schedules ranging from 2500 to 5000 activities
  5. Update, analyze, and report status weekly at each project site
  6. Reconcile discrepancies from actual vs. planned progress and facilitate an action plan with the project team
  7. Help develop visual schedules as needed
  8. Provide linear schedules as needed to view production sequences
  9. Analyze repetitive workflows to ensure realistic achievable cycle times
  10. Prepare concise monthly schedule narratives
  11. Provide monthly metrics and Key Performance Indicators for executive reports
  12. Ensure quality and excellence applying Suffolk's Standards of Practice

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or an applicable discipline
  • Experience in preparing CPM schedules for vertical construction projects
  • Proficient with Oracle Primavera P6 scheduling software
  • Capable of managing multiple project schedules in the region
  • Can travel to regional project sites to assist project teams on a weekly basis
  • Willing to obtain a AACE PSP certified certification within 6 months of hire
  • Have excellent computer skills and willing to learn new software applications
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize information in a concise manner and to make recommendations on strategies to resolve project issues
  • Strong oral and written communications skills and the ability to apply appropriate communication techniques to various individuals
  • Positive customer service orientation, with both internal and external clients is required
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required, demonstrating a consistent commitment and ability to work with diverse work groups and individuals

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stands; walk; and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will spend their time in an office environment with a quiet to moderate noise level. Job site walking.

Compensation Information

Where required by law, pay ranges can be found in Suffolk's job postings. Base Salary for this position is just one component of Suffolk's total rewards package for employees. Actual salaries may be based on several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education and other qualifications. Suffolk offers a comprehensive benefits package as part of its overall total rewards strategy. Salary ranges are reviewed regularly to reflect market trends.
