Job Title: General Maintenance
Department: Engineering Supervisor: Engineering Manager
Hours: 7:00AM - 3:30PM
SUMMARY: Responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of
manufacturing equipment and facility systems. Provide support to production departments by
ensuring machinery operates safely and efficiently.
Per the client, someone who is adept in building maintenance, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing and standard building fixes, would be considered for this position, given a strong work history and critical thinking skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Perform routine maintenance on production equipment and machinery.
2. Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, complete necessary repairs.
3. Maintain parking lot (clear snow, paint lines, patch, etc.).
4. Operate and maintain lawn/snow equipment.
5. Follow all company safety policies and procedures (Lockout/Tagout, PPE).
6. General facility systems (sprinkler, fire, etc.)
7. Maintain industrial air compressors and compressed air systems.
8. Manage preventative maintenance (PM) systems as assigned and keep accurate records of
work performed.
9. Maintain building systems, including HVAC, lighting, plumbing and general
infrastructure
10. Facility and grounds upkeep (painting, debris clean up, landscape, etc).
11. Maintain organization of tools and spare parts.
12. Communicate equipment issues and repair status clearly.
13. Develop and improve existing systems to support facility and department maintenance.
14. Willing and available to work overtime, respond to call ins during off hours and
weekends with short notice as required.
15. Basic cleaning (custodial duty) back-up as required.
16. Good driving record required.
17. Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED TO PERFORM JOB
Basic mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and troubleshooting skills.
Weld and fabricate experience (preferred).
HVAC maintenance experience (preferred).
Electrical experience in minor machine repair and installations (preferred)
Plumbing experience in repair and installations.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Communicate effectively and professionally.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Exposure to noise, heat and machinery.
Ability to stand, walk, bend and climb.
Able to lift 50 lbs.
