Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
A bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Must be detail-oriented and have strong customer service and communication skills. Prior experience working with a CRM preferred. Knowledge of university policies and procedures preferred. Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
Excellent judgement and customer service skills. Ability to multi-task and work with constant interruptions. Experience working with a variety of software programs including databases is a plus. Knowledge of Outlook and Excel required. Strong phone presence and conversation skills.
The Recruitment Specialist serves as the first contact for students interested in continuing education programs at USC. They will take an active role in lead cultivation via in-person, phone, and digital outreach. Some travel is expected for recruitment visits and outreach events. The Recruitment Specialist will make follow up calls and emails to prospective students who have expressed an interest in a certificate program or personal interest class. The goal of these interactions is to strengthen and maximize enrollment and ensure there are qualified students in the programs. Tasks are assigned to leads who require further action. The Recruitment Specialist will work with prospective students to help them through decision-making and enrollment. As an endcap to the communications plan, the Recruitment Specialist will host an orientation session for each new certificate program cohort to officially welcome students to the program and introduce them to their instructor(s).
The Recruitment Specialist will advise potential students on available financing options. If a student decides to enroll, the Recruitment Specialist will work with the Business Operations Manager to ensure payment is processed and the student is placed in the appropriate course. The Recruitment Specialist supports the Business Operations Manager with verification of funding options.
The Recruitment Specialist will assist with the content for each program's communication plan and website. They will oversee the management of communication plans, ensuring seamless execution. The Recruitment Specialist will ensure all marketing channels remain updated.
The Recruitment Specialist will support the marketing of personal interest "Carolina Classroom" courses. They will also manage inquiry calls/emails and enroll students.
The Recruitment Specialist will be responsible for building all professional education and personal interest courses in the CRM.
Represents office at professional functions including networking, recruitment, and tradeshow events. Special projects include report creation and management, program research and proposals, process improvement initiatives, working with the Associate Director on future course schedules and other projects as assigned. Will assist in department programs and events as needed, which may require night and/or weekend hours.
