Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:30 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum of 1 year in PCU License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS and ACLS required in hand Must-Have: - Telemetry experience - PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience - Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias - Use of Rapid Response and Code teams - Blood product administration - Central and peripheral line care/management - Management of cardiac drips (no titration) - Oxygen administration and non-invasive airway management - Isolation precautions and PPE Description: This position requires a registered nurse specializing in the progressive care unit. Candidates must possess at least one year of experience in this specialty. BLS and ACLS certifications must be current and submitted upon application. The nurse will be responsible for telemetry monitoring and expert care of patients in a PCU setting. Key responsibilities include the management of dysrhythmias and the use of rapid response teams. The role involves administering blood products and managing both central and peripheral lines. Candidates should be proficient in monitoring and administering cardiac drips and oxygen therapy. Adherence to isolation precautions and the use of personal protective equipment is necessary. The shift will be during the night for 12 hours, requiring flexibility in patient care responsibilities. Travelers will be expected to float to similar units as needed. All applicants must possess a valid RN license and certifications at the time of application.
