Hera Technologies is a premier contract manufacturer specializing in high-precision metallic and non-metallic solutions for the Aerospace, Defense, Space, and Commercial Airline sectors. Our commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction has positioned us as an industry leader in the design, manufacturing and maintenance of thermal support systems. Our team is driven by excellence, integrity, and a passion for advancing aerospace technology.

Take the next step in your career with a company committed to excellence, where your contributions are recognized, and your potential is realized.

Hera Technologies is seeking two detail-oriented and execution-focused Production Planners to support day-to-day production planning activities within our aerospace and defense manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Production Planning Manager, this role will play a critical part in translating demand signals into actionable production schedules, ensuring alignment between material availability, capacity, and customer delivery commitments.

This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated planner who thrives in a fast-paced, high-mix, low-volume manufacturing setting and is eager to contribute to building scalable planning processes from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules in alignment with the master production plan
  • Release and manage work orders to support machining, fabrication, and assembly operations
  • Monitor daily production performance and adjust schedules to address delays, constraints, or priority changes
  • Ensure alignment between production schedules and material availability
  • Translate customer orders, forecasts, and program requirements into executable work orders
  • Support on-time delivery by proactively identifying risks and escalating issues
  • Assist in managing delivery dates and updating order statuses within ERP systems

  • Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to resolve constraints
  • Recommend schedule adjustments to optimize throughput and resource utilization
  • Work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Program Management to ensure schedule alignment
  • Coordinate with Purchasing to track material shortages and expedite critical components
  • Communicate schedule changes, risks, and recovery plans to internal stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate planning data within ERP/MRP systems (BOMs, routings, lead times, and order statuses)
  • Ensure work order accuracy and timely system updates to reflect real-time production status
  • Assist in troubleshooting planning and MRP-related issues
  • Support the development and standardization of planning processes and tools
  • Contribute to improvements in schedule adherence, planning accuracy, and production flow
  • Participate in planning cadences such as daily production meetings and capacity reviews
  • Drive performance against key operational KPIs, including on-time delivery, WIP levels, past due orders, and schedule adherence, ensuring alignment with production targets and customer commitments

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 25 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment (aerospace/defense preferred)
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling principles (JobBoss, Epicor, Oracle, SAP, etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving capability
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments
  • Exposure to AS9100 or other regulated manufacturing standards
  • Working knowledge of Epicor ERP
  • Familiarity with CNC machining, fabrication, or aerospace assemblies
  • APICS/CPIM certification or progress toward certification
  • Experience supporting production in a growth-stage or startup environment

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to work in a manufacturing facility with regular exposure to shop floor conditions, including noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures and frequent interaction with production areas (machining, fabrication, and assembly)
  • Frequent interaction with production areas (machining, fabrication, and assembly)
