Strategic Sourcing Specialist - Development
Under the direction of the Head of Commercial Strategy, this is an ideal opportunity for an early-career professional or dynamic individual who wants to build a long-term career in aerospace supply chain and commercial leadership. You'll gain hands-on experience in RFP creation, technical requirements drafting, supplier outreach, and internal coordination while being mentored by our most experienced leaders. This role is designed to develop into an outside-facing Development Program Management role, with a long-term growth path towards leadership.
Essential duties and responsibilities include managing technical work packages for new product development supplier selection, owning pricing updates and approvals in coordination with business unit leaders, supporting long-term pricing agreements, conducting proactive supplier outreach to drive quoting, backlog alignment, and issue resolution, leading follow-up on Supplier RMAs, repair quotes, and non-conforming product claims, collaborating with engineering, operations, and contracts to resolve delivery and quality issues, contributing to SIOP planning and backlog clean-up initiatives, remaining current on industry events affecting primary customers, suppliers, and competition, internal liaison between departments involved at different stages of the development cycle, supporting the Project Engineers and Program Managers in preparing material for customer visits, actively managing past proposal activities and proposals currently in work, and taking on special projects, as assigned.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field with a minimum three years related experience in the manufacturing industry and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Three years of experience in supply chain, customer support, or business operations, or a similar field involving people is required. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills are necessary. Interest in technical products, multicultural nuance, and long-term growth into external sales roles is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); experience with ERP systems is a plus. Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and a desire to grow.
