Preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, creating budgets and forecasts, preparing audits, and managing internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. 2. Assisting in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures, and acting as a liaison between the accounting department and other departments within the company. 3. Analyzing financial data and creating financial models for decision support, as well as reporting on financial performance and preparing for regular leadership reviews. 4. Working closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. 5. Assisting with tax audits and tax returns, and managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. 6. Improving efficiencies and reducing costs across the business, and driving fresh initiatives for financial planning and business intelligence systems. 7. Ensuring compliance with accounting and tax laws and regulations, as well as company policies. Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the Senior Accountant role should possess the following qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is highly preferred. 2. Minimum of 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably within the mortgage industry. 3. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting. 4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel. Experience with Yardi is required. 5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. 6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present financial information and complex financial concepts to non-financial colleagues. 7. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines. 8. Strong knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis. 9.
