The Homework Help & Enrichment Assistant provides homework help and enrichment support through the Homework Help Program to youth customers and engages youth in a variety of STEAM [Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math] and enrichment activities during non-academic periods to help prevent academic loss.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Skill in customer service.
Ability to teach and tutor youth customers and explain English, Math, and other subject matter concepts and information.
Ability to work independently and with coworkers in a wide variety of situations with minimal supervision.
Ability to use all technology applicable to the essential functions of the job and commonly used by the Library.
Lifting objects up to 50 pounds and carrying them short distances [50 feet or less] is required. Pushing carts of library materials up to 150 pounds may be required.
Working irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, is required.
Qualifications:
Hours: 12 hours per week, Monday-Thursday, 3:00-6:00 p.m.
