Job description
CMK Resources is hiring a Systems and Network Engineer for a leading company in the distribution industry. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of core infrastructure across a multi-site environment.
You’ll work across networking, systems, and security—supporting day-to-day operations while driving key improvements.
What you’ll do
- Own and support Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Windows environments
- Manage network and infrastructure operations (LAN/WAN/WLAN)
- Manage Palo Alto firewalls, VPNs, and core networking
- Take full ownership of certificate management (tracking, renewals, remediation)
- Manage virtualization (VMware / Hyper-V)
- Troubleshoot issues impacting uptime, performance, and security
- Partner with internal teams and vendors on infrastructure initiatives
Tech environment
Palo Alto, Cisco, Aruba, VMware/Hyper-V, Active Directory, Office 365, Exchange, Extreme Wi-Fi, CrowdStrike, Okta (nice to have), ServiceNow (nice to have)
What you bring
- 7+ years of hands-on network and systems infrastructure experience
- Strong experience owning and supporting production environments
- Strong virtualization and Active Directory
- Strong Networking (Fortinet ideally or Cisco) and Palo Alto firewall experience
- Ability to communicate clearly and represent IT in meetings
- Team-first mindset with strong ownership and accountability
What to expect
- 100% on-site (collaborative, hands-on environment)
- Occasional weekend work (with flex time)
- Low-frequency, informal on-call
