Job description
This role leads day‑to‑day production operations in a high‑volume manufacturing environment, with direct responsibility for people, safety, quality, and output. The position combines hands‑on technical leadership with floor‑level management, supporting stamping and punch press operations across multiple shifts. Client Details This is a long‑standing manufacturing operation specializing in high‑volume production of precision stamped components used in consumer packaging applications. The organization operates in a fast‑paced, low‑margin environment where strong leadership, mechanical knowledge, and operational discipline are critical, offering a stable platform with long‑tenured leadership and global backing. Description Lead and manage day‑to‑day production activities within a high‑volume stamping and punch press operation Supervise, coach, and develop production leads, operators, and temporary labor across assigned shifts Maintain safe, efficient, and organized manufacturing operations while meeting throughput and quality targets Provide hands‑on support on the shop floor, troubleshooting tooling, equipment, and production issues Work closely with the Operations Manager to enforce production standards, priorities, and process improvements Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and labor allocation to meet changing production demands Support tooling changeovers, die maintenance coordination, and machine readiness Drive accountability around safety, quality, attendance, and performance expectations Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions related to downtime, scrap, or quality issues Ensure operational goals are met while maintaining a strong team culture and clear communication Profile Proven experience in a production leadership or supervisory role within a manufacturing environment Strong mechanical aptitude with hands‑on exposure to Tool & Die, stamping, or punch press operations Background as a die maker or highly technical shift leader looking to step into (or continue in) management Ability to lead from the floor while still managing people, priorities, and performance Experience enforcing production standards and operational direction set by senior leadership Comfort working in a high‑volume, fast‑paced manufacturing environment Strong communication skills with the ability to lead permanent and temporary workforces Willingness to work flexible hours or support off‑shift operations as needed Job Offer Competitive salary range of $90,000-$100,000, with flexibility for the right experience and leadership background Potential consideration up to $110,000 for highly aligned candidates Medical, dental, and vision insurance with multiple plan options 401(k) plan with company match based on tenure 13 days of paid time off to start, increasing with tenure up to four weeks Paid holidays Stable manufacturing environment backed by a global organization with long‑term investment High‑impact leadership role with real influence over people, production, and day‑to‑day operations Opportunity to step into a visible management role with strong leadership support and succession planning MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
