About The Role

The New Philanthropists is seeking a highly organized, relationship-driven Programs Manager to help lead and execute programming that connects diverse leaders to nonprofit board service.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in community-centered work, communicates with clarity and intention, and knows how to keep multiple moving pieces on track. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our programs are thoughtfully planned, well-executed, and aligned with our mission to build more inclusive nonprofit leadership.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as an ambassador for TNP, building and maintaining relationships with community partners and participants
• Coordinate and manage program timelines, deliverables, and communications to ensure strong execution and follow-through
• Partner with leadership to implement program strategy, goals, and key initiatives
• Lead outreach efforts and support partnership development
• Manage board placement processes, including tracking prospects and aligning candidates with nonprofit opportunities
• Support mentorship programming through participant coordination, check-ins, and ongoing communication
• Plan and support program events, logistics, and partner engagement
• Maintain clear, consistent communication with internal and external stakeholders
• Track progress across programs, ensuring tasks are completed on time and priorities stay aligned
• Identify opportunities to strengthen programs and improve systems or processes

What You Bring

• Strong planning and project management skills, you know how to keep things organized, moving, and on deadline
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with a high level of responsiveness and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through with consistency and accountability
• Experience building authentic relationships across diverse communities
• A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and adapt as things evolve
• Comfort working collaboratively with leadership, Board members, and community partners
• Alignment with values of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and a commitment to advancing equity in nonprofit leadership

Nice to Have:

• Experience facilitating workshops, trainings, or group conversations
