Business Development Specialist
Job Description
Business Development Specialist works to drive aggressive growth in GMA services within Appliances, HVAC, and Lighting. Working closely with the industry commercial team, assists in executing pre-determined strategies to achieve sales order targets and revenue. Partners with AHL sales teams to build and maintain strong client relationships within the region. Engages in customer meetings and regional industry trade shows and events, effectively promoting the organization's GMA capabilities to both clients and prospects to drive strong growth for UL Solutions' GMA business.
Responsibilities
- Partners closely with sales to make joint customer visits and deliver GMA-specific messaging through presentations as required.
- Work closely with BDMs & Product Managers to assist in the development of strategic GMA go-to-market strategies.
- Engages with industry marketing to develop and deliver the right GMA-specific messaging for key industry events and tradeshows, as well as through social media channels.
- Works closely with industry leads and operations stakeholders to ensure the necessary competencies and capacity to effectively deliver within the region.
- Assists in development and delivery of GMA sales training on an ongoing basis.
- Responds effectively to urgent and sensitive customer issues and focuses on sustaining customer satisfaction and loyalty by maintaining a relationship with the customer.
- Develops and masters researching techniques to identify prospective customers, and to identify the decision makers in the prospective organizations.
- Assists in up-selling opportunities.
Qualifications
- University Degree (Equivalent to Bachelors degree) in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related disciplines
- Significant knowledge of Global Market Access issues in Electrical and Medical Device industry
- 5+ years of relevant experience in handing business development or sales activity.
- Knowledgeable in new product development and portfolio management concepts.
- Demonstrated ability on how to develop a business.

What we offer:
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000. - $100,000. and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 10% of the base salary.
This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
