The Opportunity

KanPak® is seeking a Plant Accountant to support financial operations at our Arkansas City facility. This role plays a critical part in cost accounting, financial analysis, inventory management, and month?end close, partnering closely with plant leadership to drive operational and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform cost accounting activities, including standard cost maintenance, BOM review, and variance analysis
  • Analyze actual costs vs. standard costs; monitor purchase price variance (PPV)
  • Support inventory accounting, reserves, and reconciliations
  • Prepare journal entries and assist with month?end close and financial reporting
  • Review manufacturing variances and cost center reporting with management
  • Track capital expenditures and complete monthly capital roll?forward
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and labor efficiency reporting
  • Prepare required internal and external reports, including dairy inventory and loss/damage tracking
  • Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with internal controls
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Plant Controller

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Experience with P&L Balance Sheet preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; pivot tables and v-look ups for large data sets (Excel required)
  • Experience in food or aseptic manufacturing environments preferred
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and reliability

THE SCHEDULE & SETTING
