Position Description:
CGI is seeking a meticulous and driven Data Analyst to join our dynamic data informatics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a passion for uncovering actionable insights from complex datasets. As a Data Analyst, the candidate will play a crucial role in transforming data into meaningful information that drives decision-making processes across various departments. The ability to effectively communicate findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams will be crucial to their success in this role.
Looking for a Strong Java, Micro-services, Unix scripting and Oracle SQL L3/L4 candidate with experience in Python/SQL/UNIX Shell Scripting Developer also is a plus.
This position is located in our Fairfax,VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Gather data from various sources, such as databases, APIs, or files, ensuring data quality and completeness.
Prepare data for analysis by cleaning, filtering, and transforming it into a usable format, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Apply statistical and analytical techniques to interpret data, identify trends, patterns, and relationships to uncover insights that can support decision-making.
Create reports, dashboards, and data visualizations (such as charts, graphs, and plots) to present findings and communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
Use data-driven approaches to solve complex business problems, optimize processes, and improve efficiency.
Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports.
Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
Filter and clean data by reviewing reports, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs.
Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.

Windows OS level and Unix scripting knowledge required
