Journeyman Electrician (Licensed)

New Data Center Construction – Cedar Rapids, IA

Aerotek is hiring multiple Licensed Journeyman Electricians for a long‑term data center new construction project in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa area. This is a high‑earning opportunity with consistent overtime and daily per diem.

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $50.00/hour
• Hours: 5 days/week, 12‑hour shifts (minimum 60 hours/week)
• Overtime: Built‑in weekly OT
• Estimated Weekly Take‑Home: $4,000+
• Per Diem: $178/day
• Approx. $40,000+ in per diem over one year

️ Job Responsibilities

• Install, bend, and run EMT and rigid conduit
• Pull wire and perform terminations
• Install lighting systems, switchgear, panels, and cable
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings
• Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs
• Work with low‑ and medium‑voltage systems
• Support large‑scale commercial and industrial electrical construction

Required Skills & Experience

• Journeyman‑level electrical experience in commercial or industrial construction
• Proficiency with:
• Conduit bending (EMT and rigid)
• Terminations and panels
• Lighting and electrical systems
• Blueprint and schematic reading
• Electrical troubleshooting
• Experience on large projects such as data centers preferred

Licensing Requirement

A valid Journeyman Electrician License is required.

License must be from one of the following states eligible for Iowa reciprocity:

AK, AR, CO, MN, MT, NE, NH, ND, OK, SD, TX, WI, or WY

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tyler, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $50.00/hr.
