Medical Assistant/Bilingual

GENERAL SUMMARY: We are seeking a reliable and patient-focused Bilingual Medical Assistant (Spanish -speaking required) to support our clinical team. This role is essential in ensuring efficient patient flow, accurate clinical documentation, and high-quality patient care, particularly for our Spanish-speaking population.

Key Responsibilities:

• Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document medical history in the EMR (., Cerner, Epic)
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures
• Serve as a Spanish-English Interpreter for patients during visits
• Coordinate patient care, including referrals, imaging, and follow-ups
• Manage patient communications (phone calls, messages, results)
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms and clinical supplies
• Assist with prior authorizations and insurance verification as needed
• Maintain compliance with HIPPA and clinical protocols

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
• Fluent in Spanish and English (required)
• Current certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred
• minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred (specialty experience a plus)
• Strong EMR proficiency and computer skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
