Job description
Exciting Opportunity with PediaStaff: FMLA School Occupational Therapist OT in the Shawnee Mission, KS area.

PediaStaff is a trusted leader in pediatric therapy and educational staffing solutions, connecting passionate professionals with rewarding school-based and clinic opportunities since 2004. We' re currently seeking a School Occupational Therapist ($45-59/hour) to cover FMLA leave and support elementary students in the Shawnee Mission, KS area.

Qualifications:
  • Master' s Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Valid Kansas OT License
Role Overview:
As an OT, you will support students in school settings by assessing their needs, developing individualized plans, and implementing interventions to help them succeed academically, socially, and physically. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.

Job Details:
  • In-person only
  • Dates: 8/10/26-10/30/2026
  • Caseload: Elementary aged, multiple locations
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess students' motor, sensory, and functional abilities to identify areas of need and develop individualized therapy plans.
  • Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions in accordance with students' IEPs, helping them achieve academic and developmental goals.
  • Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments tailored to students' unique needs.
  • Contribute to the development of IEPs by offering insights on motor development, sensory needs, and appropriate accommodation or modifications.
