Position SummaryLifeline Community Services is hiring a part-time Youth Development Case Manager to support the RESPECT Project. The RESPECT Project is a character-building academy for youth in North County. You will work alongside our law-enforcement partners and a case manager to provide support to youth enrolled in the program and their families. You will also work with graduates of the academy to continue offering supportive services, such as mentoring and connecting them to community resources. This is a Bachelor's Level role that will help our team by supporting clients to build self-reliance, cultivate strong families and connect clients to appropriate resources. We're looking for someone passionate, familiar with community needs and services, and open to working with youth that may or may not be system involved. This role requires empathy, compassion, strong boundaries, organization/time management, and flexibility. Since your day-to-day work will be conducting assessments/intakes with new families, and follow-up contacts. Required Qualifications:· Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, or related field· Knowledge/Familiarity of Juvenile Justice System· Minimum one (1) year of experience working with youth in the area of violence prevention, education, law enforcement, counseling, or related setting.· Demonstrate knowledge of trauma Informed, client driven, and culturally competent care.· Training in Child Abuse and/or Other Perspective Issues· Bilingual English/Spanish preferred Responsibilities· Provide individual and family face-to-face case management services· Provide delinquency prevention activities such as: mentoring, counseling, and group facilitation; including parenting groups· Coordinate field trips and other recreational activities for youth· Provide transportation for clients as needed· Develop professional relationships with community and collaborative partners· Provide crisis management support as needed to caseload participants· Comply with all documentation requirements dictated by contract· Completes other duties as assigned. Schedule/Compensation· Part Time, 20 Hours, Non-Exempt· Monday to Friday, occasional weekends with advanced notice· Minimum of 2 late shifts per week, available until 7:30pm· $22.00-$24.00/hour. Salary will commensurate with experience and education. Differential pay offered for bilingual skills. EEO. Additional Requirement· Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation with a good driving record.· Willing to use own, properly insured, reliable vehicle for the job (mileage reimbursed).· Employment subject to clearances, including background finger printing checks, driving record, tuberculosis testing, and drug testing. Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amount of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer.
