Due to continued growth and expansion into the market, we are currently accepting applications for Truck Driver CDL A Route Delivery to work in Midland, TX. Work Schedule * Typically home daily but some overnights, approximately 20% of the time. Stay in company paid hotel. * This is a 24/7 delivery operation; some routes include weekends and/or Holidays. * Days and start times will vary; work until work is completed, typically 10-14 hours per day. * Routes awarded by bidding board, based on seniority; typically takes 1-2 years to access most desirable routes. * Make 2-10 stops per day; Routes may cover surrounding states. * Must be flexible with work schedule, work schedule may change based on business needs. Responsibilities * Route delivery, driver unload, lift-gate, pallet jack, curve ramp, and 2-wheel hand cart. * Touch freight, case delivery of food-grade products to warehouses and end-users. * Drive CDL A day cabs with 53' trailers to transport materials and equipment to specific route destinations. * Secure pallets using straps. Strap and unstrap at each delivery. * Document pre-trip and post-trip inspections * Manage hours of service (HOS) and ensure DOT compliance. * Provide excellent customer service. * Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle. * Reporting maintenance/repair issues on tractors and trailers. Requirements * Minimum 21 years of age. * Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver´s License, with air brakes endorsement. * Current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug and criminal background screen. * Minimum 100,000 miles and/or 1 year CDL A driving experience required. * Prior local route delivery experience highly preferred, including local, multiple-stop delivery using hand-cart, ramp, pallet jack preferred. * Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses * Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors. * Legally eligible to work in the U.S. * Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English. * Must pass pre-hire drug screen and physical. * Be able to lift, push, pull 15-20 pounds with no assistance.
