JOB SUMMARY: Assists Interdisciplinary Teams with daily management of client care by processing phone and fax information from clients, physicians, vendors and referrals.
Job Specific Functions
Answer all incoming nursing calls when primary RN is not available.
Answer questions as able for clients, families, facilities, providers and caregivers.
Triage all calls, complete associated tasks and route appropriately.
Update primary RN’s as appropriate throughout the day.
Obtain and complete verbal physician orders as directed by RN.
Facilitate communication between clients, families, IDTs, physicians, vendors and community.
Communicate with pharmacy to ensure new orders and refills are sent to the client in a timely manner.
Input new medication orders and/or changes in a timely manner and fax copy to pharmacy.
Performs nursing visits to clients as directed.
Assists with intake, referrals and admission tasks.
Maintains confidentiality, sensitivity, kindness and compassion to clients and their surrounding family as well as referral sources.
Direct Staff RNs schedule on Saturday.
Qualifications:
- RN license required.
- Minimum of two years nursing experience (hospice, home health preferred).
- Current Basic Life Saving for Health Care Providers (CPR and AED) certification required.
- Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, personal vehicle for on-the-job transportation and evidence of insurance coverage as required by the State of Washington.
Wednesday-Friday 8a-5:30p & Saturday 8a-8p $42-$55/hour Full benefits
