Marketing Specialist
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for implementing marketing strategies and coordinating promotional activities to enhance the health center's visibility and impact in the community. This position supports the Marketing Director in creating and managing content across various platforms, coordinating marketing campaigns and events, and maintaining brand consistency. The Specialist plays a key role in developing marketing materials, managing paid and organic social media presence, and tracking marketing metrics while ensuring all communications align with FQHC messaging guidelines and organizational goals.
Experience required: Two years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field. Significant experience with digital marketing platforms and social media management, including Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field required. Master's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Skills Needed: Proficiency in digital marketing tools and social media platforms. Strong content creation and copywriting abilities. Excellent project management and organization skills. Proficient in graphic design software and content management systems. Analytical skills for marketing metrics and reporting. Outstanding verbal and written communications abilities. Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Demonstrated creativity and problem-solving skills. Ability to function independently as well as work in a collaborative team environment.
Coordinates digital marketing and social media activities. Manages and creates content for all social media platforms. Assists with digital marketing campaigns across various channels. Monitors social media engagement and responds to community interactions. Maintains content calendar and ensures timely posting. Tracks and reports on digital marketing metrics.
Assists with VHP event and outreach execution. Assists with and supports in executing VHP's events. Acts in support role in VHP's community engagement tabling opportunities.
Develops and manages marketing materials. Creates compelling content for various marketing collateral. Coordinates with graphic designers for visual content creation. Ensures brand consistency across all materials. Maintains digital asset library. Assists in developing presentations and reports.
Supports marketing campaigns and initiatives. Assists in planning and executing marketing campaigns. Coordinates with vendors and external partners. Helps maintain marketing budget tracking. Monitors campaign performance and provides analytics. Supports event marketing activities.
Assists with internal communications. Develops internal newsletters and announcements. Coordinates with departments for content gathering. Maintains internal communication channels. Supports employee engagement initiatives. Ensures consistent messaging across departments.
Assumes responsibility for professional growth and development. Stays current with marketing trends and best practices. Participates in relevant professional development. Maintains knowledge of healthcare marketing regulations. Attends industry conferences and workshops as appropriate.
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Marketing Director. Provides support for special projects as needed. Assists with crisis communications when required. Participates in departmental planning sessions. Some nights and weekend work may be required.
