Job description

In this pivotal support position, you will have functional authority over the coordination and supervision of engineering activities, including budgeting, planning, and organizational implementation. You will serve as the primary link between customer needs and our production capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Lead the technical team and coordinate resources for product and foundation development.
  • Program Management: Manage all plant engineering activities, including product design and cost estimating.
  • Financial Oversight: Lead and implement costs associated with quoting new and existing programs.
  • Strategic Integration: Develop strategies and guidelines for technical application integration.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and recommend new technologies and participate in internal problem-solving activities.
Qualifications
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 8 years of experience in engineering management.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of molds, machines, auxiliary equipment, and materials.
  • Communication: Effective communicator with the ability to interface with customers, vendors, and associates at all levels.
  • Management Skills: Proven ability to manage complex problem-solving activities under tight deadlines.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficient in using personal computers and network environments.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:
  • Lead Technical Team by assisting in coordinating the resources required to develop customer foundation and products.
  • Lead and implement cost associated with quoting new and existing programs.
  • Lead and manage all aspects of engineering activities at plant, such as program management, project engineering, product design, and product cost estimating.
Additional Responsibilities:

  • Thorough understanding of each report and the duties required to be performed in their roles.
  • Represent the needs of the customers to the associates, as required.
  • Develop strategies and guidelines for technical application integration.
  • Maintain team performance related measurables.
  • Identify, review, and recommend new technologies in support of business objectives.
  • Participate, as needed in internal problem solving/improvement activities.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
