The Systems Engineer will be primarily responsible for the maintenance and support efforts of the compute and storage environments. The role is primarily support oriented; however, some project-based work will be required on an ad-hoc basis. This role will work closely with various departments within the organization to ensure internal SLAs are met with a high degree of user satisfaction. Identify infrastructure and security issues and develop plans to fix or report to the relevant teams. Day to day support of the production application infrastructure as well as design and implementation of integration to parent company. Participate in security compliance efforts (HIPAA, HITRUST, etc.). Manage assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives and timelines. Respond to inquiries from staff, administrators, site personnel and outside vendors, to provide technical assistance and support. Troubleshoot malfunctions of compute and storage hardware to resolve operational issues and restore services. Perform any other duties as assigned by management. Work location may be a combination of one-site and remote work from home. Required Skills: • 3+ years of virtualization experience, specifically the vMWare suite • 3+ years of working with Cisco UCS and related technologies • 3+ years of Netapp flash array experience, A400/A800 for example • Experience with Pure storage is a plus • Experience with log monitoring and analysis, using tools such as Elasticsearch, Splunk, or LogInsight • Experience working in a cross-functional team made up of other infrastructure engineers • Work extended or off-hours, when necessary, in order to address unforeseen issues and/or to see a project or task to completion • Occasional travel may be required as needed to remote offices and datacenters Basic Qualification: • VMWare, Storage (Netapp a plus), Linux • Deep technical knowledge in at least 2 of the named technologies. • Experience running mergers and integrations in a data center is preferred Additional Skills: • VMWare, Storage (Netapp a plus), Linux • Deep technical knowledge in at least 2 of the named technologies.
