Position Impact:
The SMB Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, engaging, and building strong relationships with small and mid-sized business customers. This role blends prospecting, consultative selling, and account management to deliver tailored solutions that support client needs. The representative will manage a portfolio of SMB accounts, develop sales pipelines, and partner with internal teams to ensure customer success. Regular travel to client sites for meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations is a key part of the role.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
• Eligibility for US Employment without sponsorship
• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in Business, Marketing or equivalent education in a related field of study is preferred
• A valid driver's license, subject to successful verification through a DMV check, is mandatory
• 2–3+ years of B2B or SMB sales experience, preferably in the telecommunications or technology industry
• Proficiency with CRM systems and sales tools to track leads, manage pipelines, and report on results
• Strong prospecting, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to close deals with small and mid-sized business clients
• Ability to conduct basic market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities and adjust sales strategies
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, especially with small business owners and decision-makers
• Willingness to travel locally for client visits, presentations, and networking events
• The ability to effectively communicate in English, including speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension, as necessary for effective job performance and workplace communication
• Proficiency in Spanish Language desirable
Skills:
• Proficient use of MS Office applications including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; teleconferencing applications
• Functional use of common office equipment, computers, and office software
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Planning
• Develop and execute sales plans to identify and engage potential small and mid-sized business (SMB) clients
• Research local markets and competitors to uncover new sales opportunities and potential risks
• Participate in planning meetings to align individual goals with overall SMB sales objectives
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
• Travel to SMB client sites for face-to-face meetings, product demonstrations, and presentations
• Build and maintain relationships with small business owners and decision-makers to ensure long-term satisfaction and revenue growth
• Manage a portfolio of SMB accounts, create account plans, and maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecasts
Sales Execution & Negotiation
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and customer support, to deliver solutions that meet SMB client needs
• Prepare and present proposals, negotiate pricing and agreements, and close sales with SMB clients
• Provide timely sales reports, pipeline updates, and feedback to the sales management team

• Adheres to safety protocols and guidelines outlined in the Race employee handbook and job description to promote a safe work environment
