Job description
Inventory Accuracy & Reconciliation Analyst

Guard the truth of our numbers. In this role, you ensure inventory in our warehouse and production areas matches what the system says—every day. You’ll blend hands-on actions (cycle counts, location checks, material verification, receiving inspections) with analytical work (transaction validation, ERP/WMS reviews, and reconciling production output to receipts). When something doesn’t add up, you’ll dig in, pinpoint causes, and implement fixes—especially for high-value and critical materials—while partnering closely with operations and production to strengthen our processes.

A day in this role

You start by reviewing inventory health dashboards and discrepancy reports. A spot check on high-value SKUs leads into targeted cycle counts and bin audits. A delivery arrives—you receive, inspect, and verify materials and documentation. After lunch, you reconcile the day’s production activity, validating reported output against actual receipts and tracing any missing or incorrect transactions. You close the day by publishing accuracy metrics and aligning next steps with cross-functional partners, leaving storage areas organized, clean, and compliant.

Core impact areas
  • Drive inventory precision through daily cycle counts, targeted audits, and full physical inventories when required.
  • Validate and record all movements—receipts, transfers, adjustments—within ERP/WMS with complete accuracy.
  • Receive, inspect, and verify inbound materials for quantity, quality, and correct paperwork.
  • Reconcile production by matching reported output to actual receipts; identify and resolve missing, incorrect, or incomplete transactions.
  • Investigate discrepancies, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Audit bins and locations to ensure correct placement and system alignment; correct issues such as mislocated stock, empty system locations, or unrecorded inventory.
  • Safeguard high-value/sensitive materials through focused monitoring and audit routines to reduce shrink and loss.
  • Create and share accuracy metrics and discrepancy reports that enhance visibility and accountability.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, production, and operations to resolve issues and elevate inventory-control processes.
  • Support continuous improvement and maintain orderly, compliant storage areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years in inventory control, warehousing, or manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience with cycle counts and reconciliation fundamentals.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/WMS for inventory tracking and transaction entry.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a track record of maintaining accuracy.
  • Problem-solver skilled in basic root-cause analysis and discrepancy investigation.
  • Understanding of inventory best practices: transaction auditing, data integrity, and bin/location management.
  • Self-directed yet highly collaborative with warehouse, production, and operations teams.
  • Strong organization and communication in a fast-paced setting.
  • Accountable and reliable follow-through to close issues.
  • Continuous improvement mindset; able to spot gaps and drive better practices.
  • Willing to complete required training and follow standard work.
Work setting & physical demands
  • Work within warehouse and production areas with extended standing and walking.
  • Perform physical tasks: lifting, bending, stretching, pulling, and climbing.
  • Comfortable in cold, wet environments from 32°F to sub-zero temperatures.
  • Navigate uneven floors and inclines safely.
  • Operate a forklift (high-low); certification required or willingness to obtain.
  • Use computers for basic tasks; occasional office work with periods of sitting.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
Tools & proficiencies
  • Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA)
  • Inventory Management & Control
