Position Summary: The incumbent will play a large part in the successful enablement of UCI Health's 10-year Integrated Strategic and Financial Plan (ISFP) which includes the key organizational clinical, financial and operational strategic initiatives. Reporting to the VP, Financial Planning and Analysis, this position drives financial stewardship and value creation by partnering with Strategy on high visibility, strategic programs across the enterprise and health system.
We are seeking a highly experienced strategic finance and analytical executive to drive the financial analysis and performance or our strategic transformation and growth priorities for UCI HEALTH. The incumbent will lead the development financial forecasting and planning processes across the UCI Health system in support of the Integrated Strategic and Financial Plan (ISFP), which represents our 10-year strategic plan, objectives and financial investment priorities through engagement with the CEO-Cabinet and key senior executives across the organization.
What It Takes to be Successful Required Qualifications: Advanced knowledge of healthcare decision support systems and best practices, as well as clinical finance and cost accounting principles. Advanced skills in developing and implementing strategic plans, evaluating and developing staff competencies, organizing department operations, and leading fiscal management. Advanced leadership skills, with the ability to foster teamwork and collaboration across departments for effective problem solving, conflict resolution, and consistent achievement of objectives. Advanced critical-thinking with ability to develop and apply creative solutions. Advanced ability to collaborate with executives to develop and implement long-term objectives and strategic plans. Advanced interpersonal and communications skills to motivate, influence, and persuade. Advanced knowledge of clinical, financial, and business information technology software, hardware, tools, techniques, and systems. Demonstrated experience influencing and partnering with the c-suite and executive-level, leveraging excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create and deliver regular presentations to executive leadership Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or related field 10 years or more of management experience in a healthcare setting Minimum of 3 years' experience in an executive leadership role (Director or higher) in a related setting Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in a related field Knowledge of healthcare market, government rules and regulations Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms Total Rewards We offer a wealth of benefits to make working at UCI even more rewarding.
