MAINFRAME DATA CONVERSION LEAD Arizona State Agency | Contract Opportunity | Phoenix AZ ---------------------------------------- POSITION DETAILS Location: Phoenix AZ - Hybrid (1 day/month in office) Pay Rate: up to $69.77/hr W2 | $80.24/hr 1099 Schedule: Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM | 40 hrs/week Contract: 06/15/2026 to 12/31/2026 Openings: 1 position available Closing: 5/13/2026 at 1:00 PM Arizona Time ---------------------------------------- ABOUT THE ROLE This is a contract staff augmentation opportunity with an Arizona state agency. The selected candidate will work directly with agency staff in a professional environment. EDUCATION REQUIRED Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Economics, or Business Administration - OR - Master's degree in Business or Public Administration REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Previous experience in Mainframe data conversion (This must be on Resume) - Salesforce Expert - Informatica Expert - SQL Server Expert All required qualifications must appear explicitly on your resume. Requirements

Required

Mainframe Data Conversion / Migration

  • 10+ years of overall data integration / ETL experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Mainframe to modern platform data migrations.
  • Strong experience migrating data from IBM Mainframe environments.
  • Hands-on experience with IBM z/OS, DB2, VSAM, IMS, COBOL, COBOL copybooks, JCL, flat files, and legacy data structures.
  • Experience leading end-to-end legacy data conversion projects from discovery through go-live and hypercare.
  • Deep understanding of hierarchical vs. relational data structures and mainframe-to-relational conversion techniques.

ETL / Informatica

  • Expert-level hands-on experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
  • Experience with Informatica PowerCenter is highly preferred.
  • Ability to build, optimize, and maintain ETL processes for extraction, cleansing, transformation, and loading.
  • Experience using Informatica Salesforce Connector is preferred.

SQL Server / Data Staging

  • Strong proficiency in SQL Server development.
  • Hands-on experience with T-SQL, stored procedures, SQL scripts, and performance tuning.
  • Experience using SQL Server as a staging, cleansing, transformation, and reconciliation platform.
  • Experience with SSIS is preferred.

Salesforce Data Migration

  • Solid experience with Salesforce data migration.
  • Experience loading data into Salesforce Service Cloud and custom Salesforce objects.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Data Loader, Bulk API, Salesforce APIs, Salesforce Connect, and External Objects.
  • Ability to work closely with Salesforce architects and developers to support efficient data loading.

Data Mapping / Transformation

  • Strong experience creating source-to-target mappings.
  • Ability to design and document data mapping documents and transformation rules.
  • Experience mapping mainframe data sources to Salesforce objects.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, normalization, and transformation logic.

Data Quality / Validation

  • Experience with data profiling, data quality assessment, cleansing, deduplication, and enrichment.
  • Strong knowledge of data quality frameworks and tools.
  • Experience developing and executing data validation, reconciliation, and cutover plans.
  • Ability to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance during large-scale data conversion.

Leadership / Communication

  • Experience leading large-scale data conversion or legacy modernization projects.
  • Ability to mentor junior team members.
  • Ability to establish and enforce data conversion best practices, standards, and governance.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional business and technical teams.
  • Experience providing project status updates, risks, issues, and progress reports to stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with large-scale legacy modernization projects.
  • Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud data migration.
  • Experience with Informatica PowerCenter.
  • Experience with SSIS.
  • Experience with Informatica Salesforce Connector.
  • Prior experience in complex enterprise or government data conversion projects.
