Maverick Currencies is hiring a Funded Trader based in Hampton, VA. This is a remote, performance-based opportunity — we fund qualified US traders with up to $400,000 in firm capital and split profits 60% to 90% depending on performance tier.
Based in Hampton? The trading day lands at a workable hour. Eastern time aligns you directly with the New York open and the London close, so the high-volume hours of the FX day land in your morning instead of fighting your evening. It's a quietly efficient base for someone serious about treating trading as a profession.
Virginia traders in Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Richmond, and Arlington work Eastern time. Proximity to DC and the broader financial regulatory ecosystem gives Virginia traders unusual access to in-person finance industry networking.
This is a performance-based contract role. Traders earn through a profit split on returns they generate — typically 60% to 90% depending on experience and performance tier. Estimated annual earnings range from $50,000 to $200,000+ for consistently profitable traders. Compensation is not a fixed salary or hourly wage; your earnings depend entirely on your trading results. Those who cannot trade profitably will not earn income from this role.
Q: What support do I get during the program?
A: Structured education, one-on-one coaching, peer review sessions, and an active community of other funded traders. The coaching relationship continues after you're funded — it's not a course that ends.
Q: Do I need prior trading experience?
A: No. We have funded traders who came in with zero market experience. What matters more is whether you can follow a rule-based system without inventing your own version of it after week three.
