We are seeking a Housekeeping Lead to supervise and mentor the housekeeping team. This position is also responsible for keeping track of inventory and ordering all housekeeping supplies, scheduling employees, cleaning resident apartments, and community common areas. We are also looking for someone that is always willing to jump in and help wherever they can with a joyful and positive attitude, enjoys leading a team, and delivers the best customer service.

Responsibilities Include:

• Serves as team leader for housekeeping employees, offering guidance and support.
• Complete a monthly work schedule and adjust as necessary for absences during the month, filling in as needed.
• Maintain inventory and order housekeeping supplies.
• Maintain apartment cleaning schedules, train and support the work of housekeeping staff.
• Cleans resident apartments, common areas, and offices as needed or assigned.
• Promptly reports any concerns regarding the safe and proper functioning of equipment to the supervisor.

• Courteous and professional interactions with residents, families, employees, potential residents/families, and outside the community
• Listens effectively and provides clear, concise, and accurate verbal and written information, including all relevant documentation
• Cooperates with others to effectively and efficiently achieve goals and resolve problems
• Maintains a professional image to residents and co-workers, in words, actions, and appearance
• Maintains the confidentiality and privacy of our residents and staff at all times
• Meets the needs and wishes of residents, staff, and families appropriately by being prompt, polite, professional, and personal
• Makes the best decision based on information while resisting the influence of peer pressure and emotions
• Reports to work on time and ensures that scheduled housekeeping shifts are completed, maintains good attitude and flexibility where needed
• Completes all assigned duties efficiently and accurately
• Attends education and training classes as necessary to fulfill state regulations

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional housekeeping experience, or equivalent skills and background.
• Ability to effectively respond to questions from managers, residents, employees, and the guests.
• Ability to communicate effectively and keep accurate records for the department.
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate assignments.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, electronic, or schedule form.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Physical Demands and Requirements:

• Maintain the ability to lift 50 pounds; to stand or walk throughout the vast majority of the work day; and to frequently push, pull, bend, twist, and reach
• Must have sufficient manual dexterity to work with the fingers and to reach/handle items.
• Must also be able to walk throughout community frequently during the entire shift.
• Involves light to heavy physical activity, including both non-strenuous and strenuous daily tasks.
• May be exposed to biohazardous materials, including, but not limited to, blood and body fluids, sharps, animal dander, and latex.
