About the Role:
As an Activity Assistant at Hope Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, you will play a vital role in promoting a fulfilling lifestyle for our residents. Your responsibilities will include planning, organizing, and implementing a wide range of activities designed to promote socialization, entertainment, and mental stimulation. From arts and crafts to exercise programs and special events, you will be responsible for creating a engaging and stimulating environment that caters to the diverse interests and abilities of our residents.
Responsibilities:
Plan and implement individualized activities for residents, taking into account their interests, abilities, and needs
Lead group activities, such as exercise classes, card games, and arts and crafts, and ensure resident participation and engagement
Collaborate with the Activities Director to develop and implement an activity calendar that caters to the needs and interests of our residents
Encourage resident participation in activities, foster socialization, and build relationships with residents
Maintain accurate records of activities, including attendance and resident feedback
Participate in facility events and celebrations, such as birthdays, holidays, and special occasions
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to lift, move, and transfer residents as needed
Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn our electronic activity software
Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends
