Job description
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including home care, assisted living, nursing homes, and community programs.
The ideal candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by delivering personalized care with professionalism and empathy.
This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those requiring assistance with daily activities and health management.
Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and observe patients for any changes in condition, reporting findings to healthcare professionals
- Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a caring environment
- Support with housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe, sanitary living space
- Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and monitor vital signs as required
- Assist with mobility using assistive devices like wheelchairs or Hoyer lifts, ensuring safety during transfers
- Follow prescribed care plans meticulously, documenting patient progress and observations accurately
- Support residents with specialized needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, or developmental disabilities through tailored approaches
Skills
- Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments
- Knowledge of patient care procedures including medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and dementia or memory care techniques
- Certifications such as First Aid and CPR are highly desirable
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy
- Ability to work compassionately with seniors or individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges
- Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing health changes
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and healthcare teams
- Experience working with people with autism or other special needs is a plus
- Ability to follow detailed care plans and maintain accurate documentation of services provided
