Job description

Role and Responsibilities

Performs final assembly, finishing and/or testing of customer product in the Assembly & Test Department at Daniel Road location as assigned.

As an Assembly & Test Technician, you will be responsible for building assemblies and other various components that conform to specifications and drawings to meet the Company’s quality standards.

Key duties/responsibilities of Assembly & Test Technician, including, but not limited to:

  • Working with Helicoil’s installing and removing as necessary.

  • Assemble and fit together mechanical components building chambers and other final assemblies for testing.

  • Troubleshoot and help resolve assembly issues that occur.

  • Perform final cleaning operations on finished product by customer standards and procedures.

  • Inspects work in progress to verify compliance with customer and company standards reporting any damage that may be present.

  • Verify all assembly, finishing and test requirements have been completed prior to product sign-off.

  • Work together with engineering, production and quality management to ensure products meet customer quality expectations.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Minimum Education:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent GED

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Previous hands-on mechanical experience with car trucks or other small engines and/or body work.

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in a mechanical assembly role a plus.

  • Ability to interpret customer engineering specifications and/or drawings to determine product and quality requirements.

  • Ability to read, write and speak fluent English.

Language Skills

Ability to understand and speak English. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and basic trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. An ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
