Job Title: Process Engineer Position Description:Support Manufacturing Process Engineering activity for Axle Carrier MachiningDrive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivityApply engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processesLead projects including delivery and commissioning of manufacturing equipmentLead and conduct process audits to ensure process discipline is consistent with Powertrain Operations guidelinesConduct job ergonomic evaluations and deliver corrective actions as requiredAnalyze carrier inventory root causes; engage in mapping and corrective actions to reduce rejectsCreate process and instruction sheets supporting quality methods and processesDeliver capable processes and tools for assembly operationsLead role in resolving machining related concerns. Lead variability reduction and lean manufacturing initiatives and best practicesEnsure compliance to Plant, Corporate, Governmental and Environmental standards Support continuous improvement in safety, quality and productivityIdentify throughput constraints and drive root cause improvements to achieve Rate of Climb targetsSkills Required:Lean Manufacturing, Process Validation, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Problem Solving, Good Manufacturing PracticesSkills Preferred:CNC Mills , Process Improvement, Tooling, PPAP processes , Manufacturing Processes, Lean Six SigmaExperience Required:5+ yrs of related manufacturing process engineer experience Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership in OEM (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skillsExperience Preferred:High volume CNC / machining engineering experience (boring / drilling)Demonstrated project management / equipment delivery experienceDeep understanding of gauge R&R and capabilities studiesExperience working with axles or other automotive componentsEffective oral and written communication skillsSix Sigma experience o FMEA, PPAP, and DOEs experienceVisual Factory Management o Ergonomic analysis knowledge and experienceEducation Required:High School Diploma / GEDEducation Preferred:Bachelor's Degree*Fully onsite.
