Job description

Medical Assistant Opportunity

This isn't just another Medical Assistant job. It's a chance to step out of the routine and into a specialized, fast-moving clinical environment where precision, teamwork, and patient experience actually matter. Whether you've worked in urology before or you're bringing strong ambulatory clinic experience with you, there's room to grow here.

Position Requirements

Full-Time Commitment: This is a full-time position (MondayFriday, 40 hours per week).

Shift Availability: Shifts may begin as early as 7:30 AM and may end as late as 5:30 PM. You must be available to work shifts within this range.

Reliable Transportation: You must have reliable transportation to travel locally to our satellite offices around I-270. Mileage reimbursement is available for eligible midday travel.

What You'll Do

As a Certified Medical Assistant at COUG, you'll play a critical role in keeping the clinic running smoothly while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Your role will include:

  • Rooming patients and verifying patient identifiers (DOB)
  • Obtaining and documenting patient vitals (BP, height, weight, pulse, temperature)
  • Collecting specimens and performing UA and PVRs
  • Educating patients on proper urine sample collection
  • Documenting in the patient chart accurately and timely
  • Collecting and reviewing patient health history
  • Medication reconciliation
  • Sending labs (including cytology, rectal swabs, cultures)
  • Placing requisitions and orders per provider direction
  • Assisting with administrative and clinic support tasks as needed

Why You'll Love This Role

  • A culture where your voice echoes, not disappears: Our CMAs are trusted contributors, valued as essential members of the clinical care team.
  • You'll stay engaged: With a variety of locations, teams, and patient interactions, no two weeks look exactly the same, keeping your work dynamic and fulfilling.
  • Growth starts here: We offer opportunities to broaden, deepen, and strengthen your clinical knowledge and experience within a growing and innovative practice.

What You Bring

  • Current Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program (required)
  • A minimum of 3+ consecutive years as a Certified Medical Assistant within the last 5 years in an ambulatory clinic or hospital setting (required)
  • An innate ability to think critically, act decisively, and maintain calm focus in a fast-paced clinical environment

What We Offer

  • Health Benefits within 30 days of hire - Medical, dental, vision & more!
  • Work-Life Balance NO nights, weekends, holidays, or call and yes, holidays are paid.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) begins accruing on day 1
  • Bring your A-game (and your A-list) - get rewarded for excellence and referrals
  • Competitive pay, real perks, and rewards that go beyond the paycheck
  • Immersive onboarding & training Comprehensive training blending hands-on learning, guided materials, and team support to equip you with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to thrive.
