Hem Saw Operator Night Shift

Pay: $20.00 $23.00 per hour (DOE)
Location: Tulsa, OK 74131
Shift: Monday Thursday | 3: 30 PM 1: 30 AM

Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable Hem Saw Operator to join a structural steel fabrication team in Tulsa. This second-shift position is responsible for operating a Hem saw to accurately cut structural steel materials according to production specifications while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has previous saw operation or steel fabrication experience, can accurately read measurements, and is comfortable working with heavy steel materials in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Experience & Skills
Previous saw operation, steel fabrication, or manufacturing experience preferred
Ability to identify structural steel shapes, including beams, channels, angles, tubing, and other profiles
Strong tape measure reading skills and basic math ability
Ability to read and interpret work orders and cut lists
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Safely operate Hem saw equipment to cut structural steel materials accurately
Measure and cut steel to required lengths according to production specifications
Read and interpret work orders, cut lists, and production instructions
Identify structural steel shapes and sizes before processing
Inspect finished materials to verify quality, dimensions, and accuracy
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards
Assist with additional fabrication and material handling duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Previous structural steel fabrication experience
Experience operating industrial saws or cutting equipment
Knowledge of steel inventory and material handling practices
Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly
Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive movements throughout the shift
Ability to safely handle long and heavy steel materials
Ability to work around industrial equipment while wearing required PPE
Work Environment
Heavy industrial fabrication and manufacturing facility
Exposure to structural steel, industrial saws, material handling equipment, noise, and metal dust
Fast-paced production environment focused on safety, accuracy, and productivity
Stable second-shift schedule with opportunities for overtime as production demands require
