Chemical Processing Specialist

We are seeking reliable and motivated candidates for a Chemical Processing Specialist position located in Akron, Ohio. If you have manufacturing, batch-mixing, or industrial cleaning experience, we want to hear from you. You will be responsible for cleaning and preparing tanks, filling batches for shipment, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment. Hours
1st Shift: 08:00:01 am – 04:30:00 pm, Monday – Friday

Pay
$20.00 per hour (Raise to $23 upon hire by the customer)

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and prepare cans, tubs, and tanks using solvents and manual tools
  • Ensure all materials are fully removed from containers and equipment
  • Properly identify, separate, and store cleaned and unwashed containers
  • Follow batch and packaging tickets to fill batches accurately by size or weight
  • Wrap and label filled batches for shipment
  • Submit batch documentation and tickets after completion
  • Communicate with production staff to prioritize cleaning and filling tasks
  • Operate forklifts and other equipment safely
  • Follow all safety procedures and keep a clean work area

Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and follow batch and packaging instructions
  • Ability to lift and move up to 100 lbs frequently
  • Comfortable using ladders, operating forklifts, and working in a manufacturing setting
  • Must wear personal protective equipment including steel-toed boots and respirators
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic

Nice to Have Skills
  • Experience with batch-mixing or chemical processing
  • Industrial cleaning background
  • Experience in food manufacturing or chemical industries

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Manufacturing, batch-mixing, or industrial cleaning experience preferred
  • Previous work in food or chemical processing industries highly desirable

Other Requirements
  • Ability to work on-site
  • Ability to work safely with solvents and chemicals
  • Physical ability to perform manual lifting and equipment operation
