Job description

Strategic Partnership Representative

The Strategic Partnership Representative is responsible for driving new business opportunities while leading MOI's engagement strategy with the Architecture/Design community, CRE, industry partners and end users. This role blends proactive business development with strategic relationship leadership, focusing on generating early-stage opportunities, expanding MOI's visibility, and building trusted partnerships with architects, designers, brokers, general contractors, developers, project managers, other key market influencers as well as potential clients.

Serving as a primary ambassador for MOI within the design ecosystem, this role acts as the voice of the brandchampioning design excellence, fostering collaboration, and positioning MOI as a creative, consultative, and reliable partner from concept through project completion. Working closely with the Director of Sales, Marketing, and Project Directors to identify and nurture leads, drives early engagement, supports pipeline growth, and ensures CRM accuracy and insight.

The ideal candidate combines design fluency, strategic thinking, and hands-on business development acumen with a passion for relationship building. Proactive, well-connected, and influential, this individual brings energy, professionalism, and curiosity to every interaction while ensuring MOI is viewed as a preferred partner.

  • Relationship Leadership: Builds deep, trust-based relationships with Architecture & Design professionals, key industry influencers, and decision-makers to drive long-term partnership and influence projects.
  • Strategic Vision & Market Insight: Translates market intelligence, partner insights, and industry trends into actionable pursuit and growth strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Design & Industry Fluency: Demonstrates strong understanding of the design process, terminology, and priorities of the A+D and Commercial real estate communities to engage credibly and add value.
  • Communication Excellence: Confident presenter and storyteller who communicates MOI's value proposition clearly, confidently, and with appropriate context across client-facing and internal settings.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Works seamlessly with Sales, Marketing, Design, and Project teams by listening actively, anticipating needs, and aligning strategy with execution.
  • Business Acumen & Accountability: Understands financial drivers, market dynamics, and partnership structures while managing a robust pipeline of opportunities with transparency, follow-through, and ownership.
  • Strategic Alignment: Consistently makes decisions and takes actions that support MOI's mission, vision, and long-term business objectives.
  • Adaptability & Growth Mindset: Embraces feedback, change, and continuous learning to improve performance, innovate, and respond to evolving industry demands.
  • Integrity, Trust & Professional Presence: Represents MOI with authenticity, credibility, and professionalism while demonstrating honesty, accountability, and fairness in all interactions.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in interior design, Architecture, Business, Marketing or related field required.
  • 3-5+ years of professional experience within the corporate real estate, commercial interiors, architecture, business or design industry.
  • Proven success in building and maintaining relationships and/or consultative selling within a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of the design, construction and real estate ecosystems preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and experience collaborating on pursuits, presentations, and design-driven projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM tools, and familiarity with AutoCAD or CET a plus.
  • Active participation in industry associations events, networking and client engagements.

Base Pay: $80k-95k Salary + Bonus Structure

Benefits: You will be eligible to participate in the benefit programs offered to all full-time employees working at least 30 hours per week. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to operate equipment or technology, and communicate verbally and in writing. The employee may occasionally be required to bend, reach, lift, or move objects up to twenty-five pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Travel: Occasional regional travel to our offices located in Baltimore, DC, Richmond, Charlottesville, Roanoke, and Virginia Beach.
