SPM Contract Manager II
Responsible for business unit supplier performance management (SPM) of medium to large size/value contracts by identifying and maximizing value opportunities. Key accountabilities include leading the development of a contract strategy within the business unit/COE, defining contract terms/conditions in accordance with company standards, managing post award contract activities, ensuring contract compliance, managing contract close-out, extension or renewal, managing medium and high contracts through the entire life cycle, providing performance metrics report on contract management performance/development & compliance, intervening, analyzing, managing and resolving business conflicts between the company and vendors, identifying and applying value maximizing opportunities, partnering with supply chain management to develop optimal contract terms, managing PO specific work efforts (technical and commercial) in accordance with corporate policy, ensuring that signed contracts are communicated to all relevant parties to provide contract visibility, awareness, and interpretation to support implementation, handling on-going issues and change management documenting appropriately, interfacing with key customer, proactively ensuring contractual compliance and performance, collaborating with the SCM team to provide guidance on vendor selection, analyzing current processes and making modifications utilizing CI principles, supporting structuring of negotiations of contracts, supporting development of SPM value targets and tracking performance to goals, mentoring other Contract Managers and supporting their work as necessary.
Minimum education & experience requirements: Associate's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, engineering or related discipline; 5+ years' experience in contract management techniques. Preferred education: Bachelor's degree. Other requirements include the ability to work autonomously, strong project management skills, demonstrated ability to influence and partner with key internal and external stakeholders, experience leading a team or large project, excellent communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills, acute attention to detail, negotiation/influencing skills, proficiency in the following software: MicroSoft Office, SAP, Maximo, SRM.
